Open Minds Across Canada
Mental Health Symposium 2009

In 2009 the Canadian Psychiatric Research Foundation and the Mental Health Partnerships of Canada hosted the first annual Open Minds Across Canada Mental Health Symposium. Seven sites across Canada - Vancouver, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax - participated by hosting free half day workshops open for everyone in the community to attend.
Presentation topics included: bipolar disorder, psychosis, genetics, schizophrenia, alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, depression, suicide, medication assessment tools, mothers at risk for depression, ADHD, autism, research, antidepressant drugs, mood disorders and addiction.
The Open Minds Across Canada - Mental Health Symposium 2009 was supported by the
RBC Foundation and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
