Dr. Suzanne Archie, Associate Professor,Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, McMaster University and Clinical Director, Cleghorn Program: Early Intervention in Psychosis Director, Psychotic Disorders Clinic St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton
Dr. Suzanne Archie is an Associate Professor with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. She is a psychiatrist and the Clinical Director of the Cleghorn Program for Early Intervention in Psychosis and Psychotic Disorders Clinic. Her research interests include program evaluation, shared care with primary care health providers, lifestyle changes for antipsychotic induced weight gain and first episode psychosis research. Currently Dr. Archie is involved in research on pathways to care and predictors of government assistance for first episode psychosis patients.
Dr. Joel O. Goldberg, Ph.D., C.Psych., Associate Professor (Part-time) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University, and Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology at York University.
Dr. Goldberg received his Ph.D. in 1984 from the University of Waterloo, and completed his internship at the Manitoba Health Sciences Centre within the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. He has been the recipient of the Clinical Behavioural Science Excellence in Teaching Award (2007), the MSU McMaster University Teaching Award (1996) as well as the Ontario Psychological Association Award of Merit for Distinguished Contributions to the Profession (1996), and served as a Consulting Editor for Psychological Assessment from 1991 to 2002. Dr. Goldberg has also been an invited speaker on the subject of cognitive rehabilitation as well as on smoking cessation for people with major mental illness. Dr. Goldberg’s current research interests include CBT for psychosis, EEG correlates of shyness in schizophrenia, weight management and healthy lifestyles in schizophrenia, 'recovery' model and schizophrenia, and the development of a ‘voices’ questionnaire.
Adrienne Jugley, Manager, Community Mental Health Program
Adrienne Jugley is currently the Manager of the Niagara Region Community Mental Health Program. This program is responsible for Assertive Community Treatment, Intensive Case Management, Geriatric Case Management and Early Intervention in Psychosis services located in Niagara.
Previously she was the Executive Director of the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centre (Niagara). She has also worked as a part-time faculty trainer for the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health, an instructor for Niagara College and worked in her own private practice. In her early years in Niagara, she was the in-patient social worker on psychiatry at the Greater Niagara General Hospital.
She has provided training and workshops on a wide range of topics to include concurrent disorders, counselling techniques, addiction assessment tools, assessment of mental health disorders, stress management and workplace wellness.
Adrienne has a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
